Description
CNBC website is looking for a talented intern who is passionate about media and the internet. The intern will be a liaison with business units such as Sales, Marketing, Public Relations as well as designers, producers, programmers and project managers. Experience in writing and/or editing ability to multi-task. Understanding of web standards, design and usability, and common web and application architectures. Knowledge of web content management, HTML, Flash a plus.

Intern, CNBC.com Web Producer
Description
CNBC website is looking for a talented intern who is passionate about media and the internet. Interest in business world and financial news and passion for CNBC programming a plus. The intern will be a liaison with CNBC editorial and development team to produce high-quality, timely and innovative content. Understanding of web standards, design and usability, and common web and application architectures a plus.
Duties may include assisting with:
- Sweetening of cnbc.com news coverage by packaging meaning content and adding news stories, including video story links, slide shows, etc.,
- Helping to develop ideas and new concepts for feature story-telling for the show site
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Intern, CNBC.com Editorial
Description
Some journalism experience, such as college Web site, newspaper or course of study, required. General understanding or interest in business news desired. Familiarity with online publishing and /or TV production a plus. Excellent writing and editing skills, with an attention to detail. Organization, initiative, time management, teamwork and collaboration are essential.
Duties may include:
- Assisting in coordination of daily coverage with CNBC writers, producers and editors.
- Edit and build CNBC stories in Content Management System.
- Research and create additional material to enhance CNBC reports published on the site.

Each internship would be 5 days a week during the summer.
It is unpaid and based on school credits.
The duration is the amount of weeks the student is registered in class.
If they live in NY free shuttle ride from city to NJ.
If they are driving there is mileage reimbursement.
